How to Farm on PulseChain Using PulseX: Step-by-Step Guide

Farming on PulseChain through PulseX is one of the most rewarding ways to earn yield from your crypto holdings. By providing liquidity to trading pairs, you can earn INC token rewards and trading fees while supporting the PulseChain ecosystem.

If you're new to DeFi or PulseChain, this guide walks you through the entire farming process step-by-step — from adding liquidity to claiming your rewards.

1️⃣ Access the PulseX Platform

Start by visiting the official PulseX website.
Click the bright green "Trade on PulseChain Today" button on the landing page to launch the app.

2️⃣ Open the PulseX App

Once on the site, click "Trade Now" to open the PulseX app.
This will bring you to the decentralized exchange interface where you can swap tokens, add liquidity, or farm.

3️⃣ Go to the Farms Section

In the app, locate the "Farm" button in the top right corner.
Click it, and make sure you're in the "Live Farms" tab — this is where you'll find all active yield farming pools on PulseX.

4️⃣ Explore Available Farms

Browse through the available farms to see which liquidity pools are offering the best returns.
Check key details such as:

  • APR (Annual Percentage Rate)
  • INC rewards
  • Liquidity size

Choosing the right pool depends on your risk tolerance and token preferences.

5️⃣ Provide Liquidity for the Farm

Before you can farm, you need to provide liquidity for the token pair you want to farm.

To do this:

  1. Hover over the "Trade" menu and click "Liquidity."
  2. Choose whether to use V1 or V2 pools (most farms still use V1).
  3. Select your token pair (e.g., PLS/PLSX or HEX/PLS).
  4. Enter the amount of each token to add and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

⚠️ Tip: Always join existing pools instead of creating new ones to avoid extra risks and contract costs.

6️⃣ Stake Your LP Tokens in the Farm

Once liquidity is added, you'll receive LP tokens — proof of your share in the pool.

  1. Go back to the Farms tab.
  2. Find the pool you just provided liquidity for.
  3. Click "Enable" to authorize PulseX to use your LP tokens (confirm in your wallet).
  4. After approval, click "Stake" and enter the amount of LP tokens to deposit.

7️⃣ Monitor Your Farming Rewards

Rewards accumulate automatically in INC tokens as trading happens in the pool.
You can check your rewards anytime in the PulseX Farms tab or through the PulseChainStats Portfolio Tracker — which lets you monitor all farms, LPs, and rewards in one place.

⚠️ Risks to Understand

Farming comes with potential rewards, but also important risks:

Impermanent Loss

When prices of your pooled tokens change relative to each other, your share in the pool can lose value compared to simply holding the tokens.
If prices return to balance, the loss disappears — but if you withdraw during imbalance, it becomes permanent.

Contract Risk

Always interact with verified contracts and use a separate wallet for farming to protect your main holdings.

Market Volatility

Farming returns fluctuate with market conditions. Do research before choosing pairs and understand the trade-offs between APR and risk.
